Infrastructure Engineer – Hedge Fund – LondonMy client, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer (3-10 years of experience) to join their high-performing team.

This role supports and evolves the firm’s multi-cloud technology estate (Azure and AWS) across Windows and Linux, with emphasis on performance, scalability, and resilience. You’ll work with an Infrastructure Team Lead and senior leadership, contributing to cybersecurity posture, disaster-recovery programs, and improvements to DevOps practices.

Ideal profile

Helpdesk/service-desk background supporting end users, with strong troubleshooting skills.

Cloud: Azure (App Services, Storage, Networking, Resource Groups) and awareness of AWS; hybrid integrations and migrations.

DevOps and automation: Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, Git/GitHub, scripting in PowerShell/Bash/Python; IaC with Terraform/Ansible.

Security and networking: anti-virus/malware/endpoint tooling; fundamentals across Cisco switching, Palo Alto firewalls, SD-WAN (Cato/Prisma), IPSec VPN, and basic Kubernetes concepts.

What you’ll do

Provide 1st/2nd/3rd line support.

Build and manage user devices; own onboarding/offboarding workflows; administer O365.

Support cloud environments, monitor performance/security, and automate with pipelines and IaC.

Assist with network projects and security tooling; collaborate with a SOC partner on monitoring.

Maintain diagrams/KBs and contribute to BCP/DR testing and continuous improvement.
