Key Responsibilities:

• Teach History to students across various key stages, including KS3, GCSE, and A-Level
• Deliver engaging lessons on key historical topics, such as World War I, World War II, the Industrial Revolution, modern history, and historical enquiry
• Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, and the development of research skills
• Plan and implement lesson plans that align with the History curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level exams, ensuring high academic achievement
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages discussion, debate, and exploration of historical perspectives
• Organize history-related extracurricular activities, including history clubs, trips, and events

Requirements:

• Degree in History or related field
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching History at secondary school level (GCSE and/or A-Level) is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of the History curriculum and exam preparation
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Passion for making history relevant and exciting for students
• Ability to inspire students to think critically about historical events and their impact on the present
