Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Mathematics at KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
• Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through real-world maths applications.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide tailored feedback to support development.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and effective maths curriculum.
• Support students with both academic and personal development to help them succeed in maths.
• Participate in departmental meetings and school-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
• Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and exam requirements (GCSE and A-Level).
• Passionate about helping students succeed and overcome challenges in maths.
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in a positive and engaging way.

Desirable:

• Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics or GCSE Mathematics.
• Specialisms in areas such as Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
• Familiarity with Edexcel, AQA, or OCR exam boards.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities such as maths clubs or maths competitions.
• Understanding of using technology to enhance maths teaching and learning (e.g., using interactive whiteboards or maths software).
