The Opportunity..

This company has a rich history spanning 30+ years in delivering a variety of commercial construction projects, with a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and client satisfaction. They operate nationally from their regional offices and their core sectors include commercial/offices, hotels, retail and industrial, with projects ranging from £500k to £10m.

The business has outperformed their growth targets in the last 12 months, so are looking to bring in an ambitious Contracts Manager to strengthen their existing team and work largely on fit out and refurbishment projects.

The Role..

The successful Contracts Manager will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects, typically ranging in value from £500k to £5m. You will be responsible for managing 2–3 projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to handover.Oversee site activities, ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met.Coordinate and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team.Prepare and manage project programmes, progress reports, and cost control.Monitor project budgets and ensure profitability targets are met.Resolve issues and challenges promptly to keep projects on track.

What they are looking for..

An established Project / Contracts Manager with extensive experience in the fit out sector.A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.Relevant construction qualifications (e.g. HNC, HND, or degree in Construction Management or similar).A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the Midlands.
