SEMH Learning Support Assistant
Affinity Workforce Solutions are working in partnership with multi-academy trusts in Bristol who are looking for SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) learning support assistants.We are seeking candidates with expertise in SEMH and/or Communication and Interaction to join our partner schools. The role involves providing in-class support, delivering focused one-to-one and small group interventions, offering emotional and social guidance, and fostering a secure, supportive, and encouraging learning atmosphere. This position is integral to the SEND provision within the classroom, assisting pupils with diverse needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and Speech, Language, and Communication challenges.The successful applicant:Have a sound understanding of Secondary EducationConfident supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculumHave experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculumWill be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humourHave excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills.Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties both in smalls groups and 1:1.Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
