The Role: What Youandrsquo;ll Do
- Deliverandnbsp;highly personalised, multi-sensory lessonsandnbsp;tailored to the individual needs of pupils with PMLD
- Create aandnbsp;safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroomandnbsp;that supports communication, sensory exploration, and emotional development
- Collaborate closely withandnbsp;LSAs, therapists, families, and external professionalsandnbsp;to deliver holistic, child-centred support
- Monitor and reviewandnbsp;EHCP targets, ensuring progress in key areas such as independence, wellbeing, and engagement
- Championandnbsp;pupil voice and autonomy, using adaptive strategies to empower every learner
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience inandnbsp;PMLD or severe SEN settings, ideally within a special school
- Strong understanding ofandnbsp;sensory curriculum approaches, communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton), and assistive technologies
- Exceptionalandnbsp;empathy, patience, and creativityandnbsp;in adapting teaching to complex needs
- A reflective, team-oriented practitioner with aandnbsp;child-first mindsetandnbsp;and a commitment to continuous professional growth
