The role involves engaging strategically with functions responsible for operational risks, providing oversight and challenge to risk exposures.Principal Accountabilities

Operate and enhance the framework to identify, assess, and monitor operational risks, including people, process, systems, and external risks arising from Lloyd’s activities.Provide robust oversight and challenge to risk management functions, recommending improvements where necessary, and monitor current and emerging risks.Support or lead strategic reviews of key risk areas, reporting findings to senior management. Assist Lloyd’s response to regulatory engagement on operational risks, including resilience.Work with executive management to ensure operational resilience aligns with risk appetite, maintaining the ability to deliver core services and meet regulatory responsibilities.Report regularly to management and governance forums, participate in risk committees and project meetings.Contribute to the Lloyd’s risk framework, supporting processes like Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) to assure risk management within appetite.Liaise with stakeholders across Lloyd’s to gather, assess, and report risk information, including reviewing risk register and risk appetites.Produce reports such as risk appetite dashboards, risk opinion papers, and ORSA reports for risk committees.Respond swiftly to requests from the Chief Risk Officer or Head of Risk Management, including ad hoc projects.Support the broader Risk and Regulatory Function and the organization in addressing risks, engaging with risk specialists across the business.Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Experience working in high-performing teams focused on risk management outcomes.Experience in stakeholder communication and negotiation, including managing senior stakeholders.Knowledge of risk management frameworks, tools, and processes.Understanding of the insurance industry and Lloyd’s market is beneficial.Good knowledge of business operations, processes, and associated risks, including people, process, and technology.Stakeholder management skills to build relationships across various levels.
