ABOUT THE COMPANY
A specialist Construction, Joinery , Fit-Out, and Manufacturing business.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are managed in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner, in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures, and constructed in accordance with contractual requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and manage all works on site.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Co-ordinate and supervise all site personnel, including subcontractors and site labour.
- Monitor and review project progress in line with the programme, providing regular progress reports to management.
- Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and other personnel to ensure adequate site resourcing.
- Hold and document weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Collaborate with the design team on construction-related matters.
- Work with the procurement team to manage material orders and deliveries.
- Prepare regular site reports for management.
- Maintain strong client liaison throughout the project to ensure expectations are met.
- Uphold the highest quality standards at all times.
- Deliver toolbox talks when required.
- Resolve day-to-day issues promptly to maintain the programme.
- Communicate regularly with the commercial and operational teams regarding progress and changes.
- Operate in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Significant recent experience in a fast-paced construction , joinery or fit-out environment, demonstrating the ability to meet demanding project requirements.
- Proven track record managing site teams within a construction/fit-out setting.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of construction practices, with the ability to review designs and identify cost-saving measures.
- Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation relevant to the construction industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach to work.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and meeting compliance requirements.
- CSR/CSCS card holder, with relevant certificates such as First Aid and SMSTS.
