Private Client department in London which is ranked in the directories for the work it does in contentious and non-contentious Private Client law is seeking to recruit a contentious Private Wealth Solicitor or Barrister of 1 or more years’ PQE/Call. Private Wealth and Private Wealth Disputes are a core area of focus for this firm following its strategic review and the wider Private Wealth Team at the firm is continually growing. The team works closely with the non-contentious Private Wealth Team as well as working with the firm''s other complementary practices. They predominantly advise high net worth entrepreneurs and business owners and their families as well as trustees from around the globe on some of the most complex and high value private wealth disputes, focusing principally on disputes with an international element. The team has a particularly strong presence in the Asian market and advises on some of the most significant trust disputes in the region. The team also advises numerous high-profile domestic families for which they are trusted advisers and has expertise in handling disputes involving cross border taxation issues.In addition to those candidates currently specialising in Privat Wealth Disputes, our client would be willing to consider motivated applicants who currently have broader contentious experience (e.g., in a commercial litigation team), provided they have a clear interest in developing specialist expertise in trusts and private wealth disputes, as well as lawyers who have strong prior experience in at least some private wealth, trusts and/or estate disputes.Responsibilities

Advise on complex and high-value private wealth disputes for high net worth individuals, families and trustees, with a focus on matters with international elements.Collaborate with the non-contentious Private Wealth Team and other practices to deliver integrated dispute resolution strategies.Engage in dispute resolution processes, including cross-border taxation considerations where applicable.Qualifications

1+ years’ PQE/Call in private wealth disputes or related contentious experience; openness to candidates from broader contentious backgrounds who demonstrate a clear interest in trusts and private wealth disputes.Strong analytical, advocacy and client management skills; ability to work with international clients and multidisciplinary teams.
