Nursery Practictioner Level 3

Location: Medway Kent ME5

Salary: £27,000 per year

Hours: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday

Contract: Full-time Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of our client who requires a qualified and dedicated Nursery Practitioner with a Level 3 in Childcare Qualification to work 4 / 5 days a week with pre-school children. The nursery is located in Medway Kent.ME5

As a member of the nursery staff, the post holder will take shared responsibility for the planning, recording, implementation, and evaluation of an inclusive early year's curriculum in accordance with EYFS.

Duties:  include providing high quality care,

• Planning stimulating activities based on children's individual needs,
• being a key worker, recording, implementation and evaluation of an inclusive early year’s curriculum in accordance with EYFS,
• tracking / monitoring the children’s progress through observation and writing children’s progress reports.
• must have previous experience of working in Early Years with excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Birth – 5 Matters and it’s current legislation.
• To ensure the children feel safe and secure and provide opportunities for them to learn both indoors and outdoors.
• Be part of a team, be a good team player and be able to work in partnership with parents, involving and informing them on the progress of their child / children.
• Good written and verbal communication skills as well as an extensive knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding children’s legislations.

The candidates will ideally have

• Have a relevant early year’s qualification at Level 3 or above
• Paediatric First Aid,
• Safeguarding and Food Safety Certificate.
• Work experience in a childcare setting is essential.
