Director, Fixed Income and Convertible Product Management – London Stock Exchange Group

The Director of Fixed Income and Convertibles Product Management regional lead reports directly to the Head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) within FTSE Russell, an LSEG Group Company. This role has direct responsibility for growing product adoption and building client relationships in the region. The role offers an opportunity for a candidate with strong technical skills and product interest to join a dynamic team with client engagement responsibilities across FTSE Russell''s FICC benchmark products. The Director will collaborate with global investment research, sales, marketing, technology, governance and risk teams to lead client engagement programmes, act as a subject matter authority, and grow take-up of benchmarking, data and analytics products. The position drives cross-team collaboration to deliver on product strategy, enhance the product range, and engage with clients to support feedback loops across fixed income and convertible index solutions and the fixed income ecosystem.Core ResponsibilitiesEstablish a deep understanding of the regional market, client segments and how financial products are used to inform product strategy and competitive positioning for FTSE’s growing fixed income and multi-asset index solutions; lead on several strategic client initiatives.Collaborate with regional and global teams to formulate product strategies that drive client adoption and revenue regionally and globally; ensure the portfolio is differentiated, innovative and best-in-class.Lead the benchmark index product development process: design based on client and market intelligence, back-test prototypes, ensure robust operations, and develop supporting collateral and client engagement programmes with internal teams.Establish a client feedback loop with various teams to shape product strategies for a differentiated and best-in-class portfolio.Conduct client meetings to support product education, adoption and development of client strategies.Partner with sales, marketing, research and product management colleagues to support build and launch of fixed income and multi-asset benchmark products and services.Collaborate with APAC, EMEA and Americas sales and research teams to identify new business and product development opportunities.Recommend improvements to positioning of fixed income and multi-asset offerings across benchmarks, analytics and data solutions regionally and globally.Contribute to development and publication of product documentation, client communications, internal education and training to support product strategies and client adoption.Coordinate the benchmark index product development process; inform design from market intelligence and thought leadership, back-test prototypes, and develop client collateral and engagement programmes.Liaise with marketing, research and sales on product launches, client messaging, collateral, product positioning and competitive strategy.Contribute to webinars and digital marketing activities to support above objectives.Key Aspects of the PositionLead multiple regional projects to enhance the existing product portfolio and continuously develop high-quality fixed income and multi-asset products.Drive regional client engagement programmes to deliver measurable results.Foster a culture of excellence and rigour to keep the product range best-in-class.Help build regional product strategy and contribute to global strategy.Support collaboration between Global Investment Research, Sales, Marketing and Product Management.Coordinate with groups across the firm to facilitate cross-group collaboration and leverage the fixed income ecosystem.Develop a deep understanding of index management, operational, technical and system requirements to inform the product roadmap.Encourage use of quantitative research across clients.Assess client segments to inform business strategy and facilitate a product development pipeline.Enable a client feedback loop to drive product development and portfolio opportunities.Candidate Profile / Key SkillsSenior client engagement experience within financial data, benchmarks, investment markets or closely related areas.Strong technical knowledge of fixed income indices and analytics and understanding of their utility to end users.Proven track record building fixed income benchmark products from idea conception to market strategy and launch.Understanding of the investment process/lifecycle and experience dealing with asset owners, investment consultants, and asset managers.Ability to work with global clients and influencers; involvement in strategy development and decision making.Strong knowledge of financial markets across buy and sell sides; self-motivated and team-oriented.The individual will need the following key attributes:Drive to achieve business goals; excellent relationship and networking skills.Superior communication and presentation abilities with a client-centric approach.Ability to handle multiple priorities and changing requirements; strategic view on commercial opportunities.Excellent problem-solving skills.Company and Equal OpportunityLSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
