Overview

Care Coordinator role at Abbots Care. An exciting vacancy within Abbots Care, the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing care coordination team. Abbots Care is an award-winning domiciliary community care provider in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of Outstanding. The role is 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM, 5 days per week (35 hours), working one weekend on and one weekend off with a mid-week day off each week. You will manage the organisation and delivery of care and lead a team of care assistants to support our service users in their own homes to provide person-centred care. This role is more than rota management and is part of our operational team to ensure outstanding quality of care is delivered consistently.

Responsibilities

Rostering and daily management of care staff who are based in the community

Complete quality calls with care staff and service users

Provide reports to senior management as required

Provide support to our teams as part of a rostered-on call system

Manage referrals from commissioners and local authorities

Ensure full capacity is utilised

Qualifications and Experience

Experienced Co-ordinator / scheduler with coordination and rota management experience

Vibrant, self-motivated and passionate about making a difference to the lives of vulnerable people

Drive and resilience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable on the phone and writing emails

Experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible

Strong attention to detail and a completer/finisher

Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Holding a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Desirable Experience:

Experience within the care sector
