Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Slough Council , who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Move on and Resettlement Officer this role will be: Hybrid 3 days office based SL1 2EJ The right candidate will: The Move On and Resettlement Officer will work with households in temporary accommodation to support and enable their move into longer-term accommodation, primarily within the Private Rented Sector, both inside and outside of Slough Support households in temporary accommodation to secure longer-term PRS accommodation. Work with households to identify realistic housing options and overcome barriers to move-on. Acquire and negotiate accommodation from landlords, letting agents, and accommodation providers. Support households to access employment, training, and skills opportunities. Signpost and refer to appropriate support services. Manage a caseload and develop clear move-on plans. Maintain accurate case records. We require the following: Experience working with vulnerable households. Experience providing housing or resettlement support. Experience of negotiating, acquiring and securing properties to discharge duty into the Private Rented Sector.
