Large national business with a turnover of £1bn seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to join and lead on commercial legal matters and manage a small team.Arbuthnot Yon are working with a sizeable blue chip national business which is a leader in its field. An opportunity exists for a lawyer to join as a Senior Legal Counsel on a full-time or part-time (ideally 4 day equivalent) basis. Reporting into the General Counsel you will be responsible for the day to day running of the commercial legal team and management of less experienced team members as well as advising the business in relation to commercial legal matters.Working closely with business colleagues and the executive team you will be responsible for the following areas:Responsibilities

Commercial agreements including large outsourcing projects, supply of services agreements, technology related contracts and customer contractsMarketing and digital strategy including data protection projectsCompliance issuesLeading on legal/business system developmentQualifications

Experience as a commercial lawyer with sound experience in commercial contractsAny experience gained in data protection would be beneficialOpen to mid-level lawyers looking to step up into a more senior role or an experienced lawyer seeking a changeEmployment details
