Located in The City of London, The Brewery is a historic Grade II listed venue, hosting over 500 events year, from 45 to 900 guests The 8 flexible spaces at The Brewery cater for a wide variety of events, including conferences, awards dinners, exhibitions, Christmas, and summer parties. The full-service offering, attention to detail, quirky touches, and forward-thinking attitude make it one of Londons most sought-after venues.Role Purpose

As a Senior Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing the sale of the large event space to new and existing customers of The Brewery. Once business has been converted, the candidate will act as an account manager for their client and will be responsible for driving sales through key accounts.The ideal candidate will display passion for the events industry and have 3+ years relevant events experience, i.e. in a venue, caterer or agency. Ideally, they will be educated to degree level, have worked within a sales environment, and demonstrate suitable transferable skills from previous employment roles.Key duties and responsibilities:To effectively sell the largest event space at The Brewery, The Porter Tun, by liaising with clients on a reactive basis with a view to winning business for the venue.To take ownership of an event from the first point of enquiry, through the sale process until the point of contract, then handing over to the planning team for the event logistics. Continue to develop the account to win more business.Work with Head of Sales and New Business Manager to identify and target lost business and lapsed accounts.Use innovative and proactive methods to nurture and develop existing accounts to secure repeat business and new events.Support Head of Sales and New Business Manager by highlighting and targeting events taking place at competitor venues.To analyse the profitability of each event enquiry, and conduct pricing and contract negotiation to ensure the best possible yield on The Brewerys event space.To host clients for site visits, menu tastings and other on and offsite hospitality to win business and develop account relationships.To be fully conversant with the revenue and profit targets of the business, and work with the other senior members of the team to ensure that these targets are reached and exceeded.To develop a thorough understanding of the various services offered by The Brewery, in order to support clients in as much of the event planning as possible (e.g. food and beverage choices, AV and theme requirements).To identify any opportunities for the development of existing accounts and to look to increase business from key clients.To produce, distribute and manage all the administrative paperwork for each event up until contract stage.To offer advice and guidance to the junior members of the sales team.Ad-hoc sales and marketing duties, including client entertaining, attending networking events and exhibitions and menu tastings as required by the Head of Sales.The ideal candidate will have:Good Time ManagementLeadership SkillsDrive for resultsPeople skillsPro-active natureTarget DrivenAttention to detailCreativityBenefits:Enhanced holiday entitlement (25 days plus 8 public holidays)Staff social events throughout the yearLearning and Development opportunitiesSeason ticket loan schemePension SchemeLife Assurance (2x salary)Private Medical cover (after passing probation period)Eyesight testsFree meals on dutyOur Inclusion Commitments
