We''re recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a growing business based in Basildon, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to progress towards a Head of Finance or Financial Controller role within the next 18 months. Reporting to the Finance Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you''ll take ownership of the finance function while delivering both strong financial control and valuable commercial insight to the business. Key Responsibilities Full ownership of the finance functionPreparation of monthly management accounts (PandL, balance sheet, cash flow and group reporting)Line management and development of the Accounts AssistantsBudgeting, forecasting and KPI reportingEnsuring compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory filings (e.g. VAT)Managing external relationships including auditors and HMRCMaintaining and improving financial controls and processes, including ownership of the ERP systemProviding commercial insight and partnering with senior stakeholders About You 2+ years'' experience as a Management Accountant (or similar role)Currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification or already qualifiedStrong Excel skills and confident working with financial systemsEnergetic, resilient and commercially mindedEnjoy problem-solving and working in a fast-paced environment If you''re looking for a hands-on role with real progression opportunities, we''d love to hear ..... full job details .....
