Somerset Council .Location: Taunton base, working across Somerset. This is a full-time or part-time role within a 24-hour service with flexible shifts, including weekends, nights and bank holidays as required.Responsibilities
Travelling across Somerset to carry out Mental Health Act assessments.Shape and influence the development of the adult social care service.What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
Motivated to use AMHP and social care skills to engage with people and their families in creative ways.Strong social care values, flexibility and a “can do” attitude.Excellent understanding of the Mental Health Act and its interface with the Mental Capacity Act, plus a good understanding of the Care Act.Access to / use of a vehicle (essential due to Somerset being a rural area).What’s in it for me? / Benefits

You will need to be able and willing to travel countywide, including to areas not currently serviced by public transport.This is a Grade 9 post with current salary of £41,771 to £46,142 per annum. Starting salary would normally be at the minimum point of the grade.Additional information
