Overview
Registered Home Manager – Women’s Residential Rehabilitation Service, Oxford, £44,000 per annum. A 22-bed residential rehabilitation home providing specialist support for women recovering from substance misuse, with complex mental health needs at times. Referrals come from prison services and the community, with an average stay of around six months (minimum stay 12 weeks). The service focuses on rehabilitation, empowerment, and sustainable change in a safe, supportive, and structured environment.The Role
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and resilient
Registered Home Manager
to lead and develop the service. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will provide consistent leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvement. A key focus will be to increase referral rates, raise the profile of the service, and strengthen partnerships with referrers, including the criminal justice system and community organisations.Key Responsibilities
Lead the operational and strategic management of the home, ensuring it meets and exceeds CQC standards.Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment for residents.Manage and motivate the staff team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.Build strong referral pathways and actively promote the service to increase occupancy.Oversee assessments, admissions, and care planning to ensure smooth transitions into the home.Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and governance requirements are met.Work closely with external stakeholders including probation services, mental health teams, and local authorities.Monitor and improve performance metrics, including outcomes for residents.About You
At least
1 year’s experience as a CQC Registered Manager
in a residential setting.Experience managing a home specialising in
substance misuse
or, if not, in
mental health services .Strong understanding of the CQC framework and inspection process.Demonstrable success in building referral networks and increasing service occupancy.Experience supporting women with complex needs and histories of trauma.Understanding of the criminal justice system and/or prison resettlement pathways (desirable).Resilient, emotionally intelligent, and able to remain consistent under pressure.Responsive and solution-focused, with excellent communication skills.Passionate about empowering residents to achieve recovery and independence.What We Offer
