Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (ECandI) Designer - Marine/Defence (Contract) Location: Devonport (2 days on-site, remainder remote)Rate: £50 per hour (Inside IR35)Type: Long-term Contract We are supporting a leading engineering services provider with the appointment of two experienced ECandI Designers for a long-term contract focused on naval platforms, including ships and submarines. The Role: You will be responsible for the design and modification of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, working across the full engineering product lifecycle. This includes: Producing and reviewing technical drawings, schematics, and 2D AutoCAD models. Preparing design documentation, cable schedules, and commissioning procedures. Resolving technical queries and liaising with manufacturing and installation teams. Supporting both design development and system modifications for marine applications. What We''re Looking For: Proven experience in electrical design for marine or defence engineering environments. Familiarity with control and instrumentation systems. Strong 2D AutoCAD skills. SC clearance or the ability to obtain it (essential). Prior experience on defence or naval projects is advantageous. What''s On Offer: Rate: £50 per hour (Inside IR35).
