Lead Mechanical Engineer (Projects) Location: Stockton-on-Tees Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 Industry: Mechanical, Special Purpose Machinery, Structural An opportunity has opened for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in Stockton-on-Tees. The ideal candidate will have a background working as a Mechanical Engineer and have experience of project engineering / management for the full engineering lifecycle. The role will be onsite working with a small team, assisting with designs and ensuring projects are running smoothly from start to finish. Lead Mechanical Engineer Key Skills: Experienced Mechanical Engineer or Design Engineer Project Engineering / Project Management experience CAD experience Solidworks, AutoCAD etc Experience working on projects related to special purpose machinery (conveyors etc) or structural Understanding of engineering calculations and analysis Understanding of ISO 9001 standards Lead Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities: Working with the engineering team on projects from concept to completion Designing, reviewing and analysing client specs to ensure projects meet expectations Using AutoCAD 3D and Solidworks Keeping clients up to date with any changes to design brief Inspecting mechanical builds, checking test results Liaising with quality and operations to ensure projects are on track Project planning and management Liaising with the team agreeing on budgets, and estimating costs If you could be interested in ..... full job details .....
