37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hours to overlap with core school hours (part-time considered)Contract:

Up to £53,200 pro rata (dependent on experience)What you will do

Deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs.Work collaboratively with the education team and follow the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, while taking into account governing and professional body requirements.Hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with support from your clinical supervisor and site lead.Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.Support the development of an enhanced speech and language therapy offer, including growth of apprentices, students and therapy assistants.Essential Criteria

Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language TherapyHCPC registered; 1-2 years experience as a fully registered member of the RCSLT, in a similar settingKnowledge of neurodiversity and trauma-informed practiceExperience of multidisciplinary working in multiple settingsExperience of communicating with/working with families, relatives or carersInterest in developing knowledge across areas of SaLT practiceStrong relationship-building, analytical and judgment skills; good oral and written communicationGood time management and organisational skillsCompetent in core areas of SaLT practice; understanding of RCSLT Communication StandardsKnowledge of SaLT assessment tools, intervention types and ability to formulate support plansKnowledge of relevant legislation for clinical practice and client group managementAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamWillingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications relevant to the client groupDesirable
