The Role of the Sales Estimator

• Take ownership of pricing complex healthcare and HVAC-related construction projects
• Liaise with design and estimation teams to analyse technical briefs and develop bid strategies
• Manage the tendering process including subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Produce clear and accurate tender submissions, cost reports, and project estimates
• Support procurement at project delivery stage, negotiating and placing purchase orders
• Conduct site visits to assess technical requirements and site conditions
• Play an active part in developing standard quote tools and internal estimating systems
• Provide insight to strengthen the supply chain and improve commercial workflows

The Ideal Person for the Sales Estimator

• Engineering-qualified or equivalent with 5+ years of estimating experience in HVAC or construction
• Background in delivering cleanroom, hospital, or lab projects is highly beneficial
• Well-versed in reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
• Able to manage bids from enquiry through to submission confidently and independently
• Skilled in material take-offs, pricing strategies, and subcontractor coordination
• Strong communicator with a keen eye for accuracy and commercial risk
• Comfortable working both autonomously and within a close-knit team
