Overview

The Director, Global Talent Management is a senior member of the Global Talent, Learning and Culture team within Global Human Resources (GHR). The role’s main purpose is to implement impactful, integrated global talent strategies that empower a brighter future for our people and our business. It aims to create Talent strategies aligned to business plans so that leaders utilize Talent as a key component of their strategy, contributing to a high-performance culture. The role collaborates with teams across HR and MUFG to support ongoing organizational enhancement and partners with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver talent solutions. The role coordinates with Global business lines, regional stakeholders and HR Advisory to ensure a consistent approach to Talent Management and development. All Global Human Resources roles must comply with the location strategy of that region.Key Responsibilities

Works with HR stakeholders and business leaders to create innovative, evidence-based talent management strategies that align with and drive the organization’s strategyAssesses return-on-investment and impact scenarios, identifying and implementing talent strategies for future workforce requirementsCollaborates with TLandC Heads and HR Advisory to understand business needs, and builds a multi-year Talent strategy; designs and implements strategy for Executive and Senior Management to facilitate high-quality conversations on Talent aligned to Organisation Design and Human Capital PlanningContinuously improves talent processes in line with the vision and strategy, monitoring KPIs/SLAs and suggesting mitigation actionsEnhances and optimizes talent development initiatives with LandD partners to design and deliver talent programmes with ROI demonstrated through development planning and talent trackingProvides thought leadership on Talent, Succession and Development to business leaders and executivesConsults with HR Business Advisors and Leaders for Global Business Groups to understand priorities, identify requirements and establish effective talent and development solutions; participates in Talent meetings to challenge leaders on inclusive action; recommends strategies to mitigate talent gapsManages centralized/offshored Talent Management resources and liaises with HR partners to ensure Talent Processes are sufficiently resourced globallyProvides 1:1 support to senior leaders and key Talent to create robust development plans for critical successors; advises leaders on development tools (job assignments, rotations, assessments, programs, coaching, mentoring)Communicates the Talent Learning and Culture product suite to HR colleagues and leaders to drive collaboration and impactActs as an escalation point for Talent Partners as requiredIdentifies opportunities for improvement within HR through diagnosis and process reviews; conducts external research on best practicesEnsures compliance with regulatory expectations of Talent and Succession planning within applicable jurisdictionsLeverages technology to enhance the worker experience and proactively resolve Talent Enablement requestsResponds to feedback through formal and informal channels to inform Talent decisions and support firmwide strategyStays informed on industry trends in Talent and the future of work, incorporating new methodologies and technologies as appropriateDeputises for the Head of Global Talent Management as requiredAdditional duties as required to support the agenda of GHR.Work Experience

Essential:Demonstrated experience in managing a talent management function across an international businessExperience working with senior leadership across multiple functions to build a talent-driven organisationExperience managing projects with multiple stakeholdersExperience driving people-related change initiativesExperience driving a high-performance culture in an organisation through talent and development initiativesProven experience in communicating and presenting confidently to senior managementEducation / Qualifications

Preferred:

A degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience in Human Resources or other relevant field.Skills And Experience

The role will be assessed under the employing entity’s performance framework; duties may change and will be reviewed with the role holder. The role may include other duties within the scope of the role as requested by management. Compensation and benefits information applies to candidates hired in the United States; international hires receive compensation and benefits per local market terms. Typical base pay range: $150,000 - $185,000, with potential discretionary bonuses and a Total Rewards package that includes health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, educational assistance and training programs, disability income protection, paid leave, vacation, sick days and holidays.Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
