Role Purpose The Mechanical/Electrical Building Services Project Engineer will coordinate and manage building services engineering projects from concept, survey, and design through to completion. The role ensures all work complies with UK legislation, industry standards, client requirements, and company procedures. This is a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical systems across diverse building projects. 2. Key Responsibilities Design Duties Develop outline mechanical and/or electrical designs, including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, security, and other specialist systems. Prepare feasibility studies, concept designs, and tender documentation in collaboration with the design team. Undertake site surveys and inspections to inform designs and verify installations. Use design software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Amtech, Dialux, or Relux. Project Management Plan, monitor, and control projects to meet agreed cost, time, and quality targets. Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate design and delivery. Attend project meetings, preparing reports and minutes as required.
