Senior Legal Counsel to join a leading insurance provider''s collaborative legal team. This is a high-profile role where you’ll lead on complex legal matters, influence business decisions, and help shape the company’s approach to risk and regulation.Are you a seasoned legal professional with deep expertise in the insurance sector and a passion for strategic impact?What you’ll be doing

Delivering strategic legal advice across the business, with a focus on insurance law, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts.Leading negotiations and drafting agreements related to insurance distribution, underwriting, claims, and financial services.Managing legal responses to regulatory bodies including the FCA, HMRC, and other relevant authorities.Supporting broker and distribution activities, including consumer lending and County Court matters.Advising on company law and corporate governance.Collaborating closely with the Group General Counsel and deputising when required.Mentoring junior legal professionals and fostering knowledge-sharing across the team.Flexible working

You can be based in the Manchester office with occasional in-person collaboration in the HQ (based in the South).What you’ll bring

Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (or equivalent) with around 5+ years PQE.Strong background in insurance law, ideally gained in-house or in private practice within the insurance or financial services sector.Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and commercial contract law.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring others.You’ll thrive in this role if you’re
