Location: Chesham, Buckinghamshire
Contract: Full-Time/Part-Time
Salary: andpound;33,075 to andpound;50,471 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025
Are you a passionate Design and Technology/Textiles teacher eager to inspire young learners£ Supply Desk is searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic DT/Textiles Teacher to join an innovative and supportive school in Chesham. Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver inspiring DT and Textiles lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on skills.
- Plan and lead engaging projects that motivate students to explore design and textiles deeply.
- Help students develop technical skills, from machinery operation to fabric manipulation, creating both functional and artistic pieces.
- Build an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere where students feel empowered to push creative boundaries.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and create cross-curricular learning experiences.
Who Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
- Strong background in Design and Technology/Textiles with a passion for teaching.
- Qualified teachers (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) preferred; enthusiastic unqualified candidates are also welcome.
- A creative educator who inspires students to express themselves and engage actively.
- Excellent classroom management skills with a practical, hands-on teaching style.
- Ability to tailor lessons to suit a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- A collaborative team player thriving in a supportive school environment.
- Experience with machinery, CAD/CAM, and various materials is an advantage.
