Senior Commercial Strategy Manager — lead key Grocery accounts (including Tesco), develop and deliver Joint Business Plans to drive long-term, profitable partnerships. With full PandL responsibility, negotiate trading terms, optimise promotional plans, and deliver sustainable revenue, profit, and margin targets.You will also define and execute the commercial and category strategy. As the category expert, translate insights into actionable plans across the 5Ps — Price, Promotion, Distribution, Display, and Merchandising.You will design commercial toolkits, influence stakeholders, and collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Business Analytics teams to ensure best-in-class execution in market.You will lead commercial input into brand planning and innovation, providing customer and shopper insights to guide NPD and strengthen brand performance across channels.Responsibilities
Own national grocery accounts (ideally Tesco) within a branded FMCG environment.Manage full PandL accountability and drive commercial results.Develop and implement Market Strategy and Planning (MSandP) and category development initiatives.Lead promotional analysis, ROI measurement, forecasting, and other advanced analytics to inform decisions.Negotiate with customers and manage stakeholder relationships across functions.Utilise tools such as Nielsen, IRI, Excel, and Power BI to inform planning and performance reviews.Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Analytics teams to ensure in-market execution.Requirements
Proven experience managing national grocery accounts in a branded FMCG environment (ideally Tesco).Strong commercial acumen with full PandL accountability.Expertise in Market Strategy and Planning (MSandP) and category development.Advanced analytical skills in promotional analysis, ROI measurement, and forecasting.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency with Nielsen, IRI, Excel, and Power BI.Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.Location
Home based role — the successful candidate would typically visit the Paddington head office once a week.Salary and Benefits
