Assistant Management Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a growing finance team based at a Head Office in Tewkesbury. This role offers exposure across a variety of financial processes, supporting the Management Accountant with monthly accounts, reconciliations, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly stock valuations on Sage
• Process monthly accruals including payroll, packaging, fleet, and overhead costs
• Complete fuel account reconciliations and fleet accruals
• Assist in preparation of depot accounts; investigate and resolve variances
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and maintain key files
• Reconcile MTD data and sales analysis using Excel
• Assist in financial performance analysis and purchase ledger postings
• Maintain records to support annual audit and tax analysis
• Assist with year-end stocktaking and BACS postings

Skills & Experience

• Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA or AAT qualified (desirable)
• Previous management accounts or ledger experience essential
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills
• Proactive, inquisitive, and able to demonstrate initiative
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask
• Strong Excel and IT skills; Sage 200 experience advantageous
• A collaborative team player with a flexible approach
