We are recruiting for a multi skilled Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a close-knit engineering team at a national recycling facility.You''ll play a key role in keeping the plant running safely and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime across a range of mechanical and electrical systems.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and enjoys working as part of a supportive, collaborative team.You can be biased towards either Mechanical or Electrical maintenance but have a good understanding of both. Working within the engineering team you will need to be comfortable with your mechanical and electrical skills to undertake working alone from time to time. The plant is currently undergoing investment and expansion.Hours: Continental Shifts, 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am (2on, 3off, 2on, 2off, 3on) Salary £48,000 to £52,000 per annum (including shift allowance), Pension, 33 days holiday.Role and Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plant machinery and equipment.Attend breakdowns and carry out effective repairs on conveyors, vibrating screens, and automated sorting machines used in the glass recycling process.Diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring safe and reliable operation of plant equipment.Assist with equipment improvements, modifications, and upgrades to enhance performance and reliability.Support external contractors ..... full job details .....
