About the Role:
Prospero Teaching are looking for a caring, proactive and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in a specialist SEN school starting September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time-only role working closely with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and a range of additional learning needs.

As a key member of the classroom team, you will support the class teacher in delivering personalised learning and emotional support to students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans). You will play an important role in helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and make meaningful progress in both academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans and EHCPs
Assist in managing classroom behaviour using positive, therapeutic approaches
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs
Encourage independence and social development through structured activities
Support students with personal care and emotional regulation, if required
What Were Looking For
Experience working with children with SEN or in a school setting (preferred but not essential)
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Patience, empathy, and a calm, positive approach
Willingness to learn and take part in training (e.g. safeguarding, behaviour, SEND strategies)
