Employment team in Manchester. You will be working in a busy, close-knit team supporting Legal Advisors with a variety of top-quality work for key clients. This team sees itself as an extension of our clients’ business, partnering to drive improvement, add value and deliver solutions beyond simply delivering legal advice.The team
Our Employment team is widely respected for providing an excellent service and delivering pragmatic and timely legal advice to its highly regarded client base. It’s a collaborative unit, operating on national lines. The team primarily works with employer clients on a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters. We also have specialists in advocacy, corporate work and business immigration.The firm
We are a top 40 law firm with over 200 partners and around 1,500 staff in total. We have 13 locations in the UK and a significant international network including our new office in Brussels. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a busy Employment teamConfidence and significant prior experience liaising with and communicating with external clients on a regular basisPrior experience mentoring and/or supervising more junior members of the teamExcellent attention to detail taken with all correspondence and documentationFlexible according to client needs, with the ability to adapt to change, new practices and remain calm under pressureAble to integrate within a team as well as working on your own initiativePrepared to get involved in business development, including attending networking and other marketing eventsGood organisational skills to ensure that the tasks are effectively scheduled within working time available, and that urgent work is completed and returned within the specified timescalesEqual opportunities
