Our client based in Surrey is looking for Commercial Manager will be overall responsible for enhancing company profit and maximising opportunities under the project contract through understanding the commercial and operational objectives of the company, while at the same time protecting the company from risk and exposure.
Responsible for all commercial and administrative processes on the project.
Accountable for daily business issues and recognizing business opportunities whilst managing the contract relationship with clients and all related subcontractors.
Responsible for the management of all project support functions.
Assisting with tendering activities as required.
The Commercial Manager for this role will be responsible for the following:
Administer all tasks and duties in accordance with the established management system.
Act as company representative in liaison with clients or their representative
Ensure effective working relations are established with the clients.
Manage contracts agreed with clients, subcontractors, or partners at project level.
Tender and negotiate value adding subcontracts.
Resolve contractual and commercial problems, ensuring that all stakeholders, such as administration, operations, and finance understand and adhere to contractual obligations.
Ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions, as well as documenting and agreeing on any changes or amendments that may arise during its implementation or execution.
Responsible for managing all contractual and commercial aspects of the contract and have full understanding of the specified scope of work and contract terms.
Performance Management, internal; Produce performance reports (PMRs) and other performance indicators as applicable
Performance Management, client; Liaise with project team to produce required information to the Client, base line updates etc.
Have an advisory role on the selection of major subcontractors.
Ensure that technical and commercial inputs are provided at the bid proposal stage of a potential extension of the contract/new options.
Specifically identify the nature of any experience arising from the project and make provision for retention and transfer both during the execution of the project and project completion.

The commercial Manager will have the following Skills and Qualifications
Educated to degree or higher level in a legal, commerce or business subject and / or appropriate equivalent industry experience in the oil and gas industry.
Familiar with standard Contract Terms & Conditions
Advanced commercial awareness
A strong technical understanding of subsea construction.
Result oriented.
Strong negotiating skills
Contracts management knowledge and experience gained in the oil and gas industry.
Minimum 15 years relevant experience related to project operations
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to perform and deliver under high pressure and meet deadlines.
