Overview
Critical Facilities Manager – Slough, England. Part of CBRE Global Workplace Solutions Data Centre Solutions (DCS). Role is full-time with responsibility for managing the maintenance of premises, plant and equipment within a data centre to ensure 100% uptime of engineering services and minimal impact to the client0s operations.Responsibilities
Provide direction and leadership of the CBRE Building Team and Contractors for effective maintenance management of data centre premises, plant and equipment.Act as the client0s focal point for all works within the data centre, with understanding of engineering, contractual and compliance requirements associated with a hyperscale data centre.Develop and manage the client relationship, ensuring a high level of service and attending client meetings as required.Oversee health and safety for engineers, contractors and visitors to site.Work with Contract Support Team to maintain service levels at consistently high levels.Ensure policies and processes are communicated and implemented within the contract, with compliance to legislative, client and CBRE health, safety and environmental programmes.Provide technical support across services to the CBRE team and client.Meet and report on service line KPIs monthly; manage service delivery in line with SLAs.Lead and ensure contractual commitments are met or exceeded.Prepare data for monthly Operational Reviews and promote continuous improvement within the team.Identify and provide solutions with quotations for small project works; identify potential business opportunities for the data centre.Own engineering activities within the data centre and ensure maintenance regimes are planned and implemented.Maintain up-to-date logs and ensure compliance with statutory and CBRE requirements.Oversee preventative, reactive and corrective planning and execution for site activities.Manage disciplinary and conflict resolution; promote health and safety and strong team culture.Act as part of the escalation chain for unforeseen incidents and site issues, providing technical support and leadership out of hours if required.Undertake other tasks as required by the Technical Manager within experience and competence.Key Accountabilities and Deliverables
100% statutory compliance across all relevant service lines.Collaborate with Contract Support and Engineering Supervisor to avoid gaps in service delivery.Maintain service line tracker documents to close actions promptly and cost-effectively.Ensure no missed statutory compliance PPMs due to CBRE planning.Produce monthly reports in line with contract governance scorecard requirements.Manage CMMS system and health and safety of people on site.Procure materials and services quickly and effectively; manage financial aspects including PandL, debt and WIP where applicable.Ensure engineers have proper onboarding, tools and PPE.Maintain contract review, audit and control systems to meet statutory, policy and contractual commitments.Conduct internal audits of QHSE, compliance and technical literature; deliver QHSE bulletins and safety talks.Audit site logbooks and lead cultural change through safe working practices and quality standards.Foster a positive team environment with a proactive, can-do attitude and elevated standards.Selection Criteria
Strong data centre engineering background required.Financial experience preferred and compliance experience required.Strong customer focus with teamwork orientation; alignment with company values (RISE).Self-motivated, reliable, professional with attention to detail.Strong communication skills and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.Management/supervisory experience essential; wider facilities management experience preferred (soft services).Critical works knowledge and planning essential; engineering qualification in a relevant subject (MandE) essential.Equal Opportunities
