The Energy Risk Consultant helps to execute the risk consulting strategy for the Energy line of business, aiming to optimise value added support to the risk carrier and risk consulting services to clients as part of the payer to partner strategy.What you’ll be doing

Advise Underwriters on industry specific risks and support clients with Risk Consulting services and technical assistance.Visit client sites to evaluate location and industry specific risks and report findings back to underwriting, the client and wider insurance market.Assist in the deployment of Energy Risk Consulting technical standards, liaising with the Energy technical manager.Assist in creating a portfolio of innovative and added value Risk Consulting offers in conjunction with the innovation and development team.Collaborate with AXA XL’s Energy Transition Centre of Excellence, providing insights into industry trends and issues relevant to transitioning to a decarbonised economy.Help the Underwriting team enhance risk knowledge, select profitable clients and reduce losses.Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues interested in learning about Energy and Powergen.Work with the local claims team to help them better understand the losses incurred, providing in-depth industry knowledge.You will report to the Risk Consulting Head of UK with a dotted line to the Risk Consulting Energy Leader.What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with these abilities and skills:A degree in an energy engineering field or mechanical, process or chemical engineering.Significant experience in Power Generation processes (operation, maintenance or engineering) or equivalent risk consulting experience in Energy.Ability to work autonomously, is curious, motivated, with good relationship skills and a strong team player.Willingness to travel (including overseas) when required.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.What we offer
