The Energy Portfolio Manager’s role is to have an overview of both supply and demand side considerations regarding energy portfolio management and advise on energy portfolio strategies for Commercial and Industrial customers. In this role, the Energy Portfolio Manager will focus heavily on risk management and hedging strategies for its clients.Company Overview:

The Green Recruitment Company is partnering with a global energy and sustainability advisor helping businesses tackle climate goals through tailored strategies—from energy procurement and reporting to full-scope decarbonisation and renewable energy projects.Responsibilities:

Advise the client on energy supply management strategies and implement commodity risk policies, active risk management and hedging, as well as renewable purchasing programmes.

Provide insights and market intelligence to customers through reports, meetings, and presentations, supported by regional advisory services consultants for risk management and sourcing experts.

Understand and educate customers on industry trends, the competitive landscape, energy market developments, and relevant regulatory changes.

Advise clients on renewable purchasing strategies, including power purchase agreements.

Assist clients in implementing renewable energy and zero-carbon roadmaps.

Develop and execute strategic plans to drive customer value and expand opportunities.

Identify new business opportunities through commercial awareness, working closely with business development teams.

Your Profile:

Prior energy experience and knowledge of sectors such as advisory, demand management, supplier management, and regulatory policy.

Working knowledge of natural gas and electricity markets.

Analytical skills with the ability to consider all factors affecting a situation.

Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, with experience in database queries and cost modelling.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and price structuring.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to understand client needs while focusing on company goals.

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a corporate setting, preferably in the natural gas or power industry.
