We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to take ownership of all financial planning, analysis, and strategic support related to

powerplant and engine operations

within our private jet business. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management, engineering, and maintenance teams, ensuring financial insight and rigor underpin all decisions around engine lifecycle management, maintenance programs, and operational efficiency.The successful candidate will combine strong financial expertise with deep business acumen in aviation, particularly in

engine maintenance, leasing, and cost optimization , to drive performance and long-term value creation.Vista is the world’s leading private aviation group. As part of our Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting Vista’s continued growth and operational excellence.Your Responsibilities

Act as the finance lead for powerplant and engine-related matters, providing financial insights and strategic guidance to operational stakeholders.Develop, manage, and challenge engine maintenance budgets, forecasts, and long-term cost models, including LLP (Life Limited Parts) and overhaul planning.Partner with engineering, procurement, and operations to evaluate engine lease vs. buy decisions, shop visit strategies, and OEM contract negotiations.Provide clear analysis on engine utilization, reliability, and cost drivers, identifying opportunities for efficiency and savings.Support the evaluation and financial modeling of engine pooling agreements, PBH (Power-By-the-Hour) contracts, and aftermarket support arrangements.Lead the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals for engine-related projects and capital expenditure.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, variance analysis, and management insights for senior leadership and the Board.Drive financial governance and risk management around engine maintenance and lifecycle costs.Act as a mentor and coach to junior finance team members, sharing expertise and best practices.Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Significant post-qualification experience in a finance business partner, FPandA, or commercial finance role.Proven track record in aviation, aerospace, or a related sector, with a strong understanding of powerplant/engine economics.Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders with clear financial insights.Advanced modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills (Excel, financial systems, BI tools).Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
