TeacherActive is seeking a full-time, permanent School Caretaker to join a well-regarded primary school in Bristol and play a key role in ensuring the school runs smoothly and remains a safe, clean, and welcoming space for students and staff.Key Responsibilities: Opening and closing the school each day as a designated keyholder, ensuring all buildings are secure Performing general maintenance and minor repairs across the site (e.g. doors, windows, lighting, plumbing) Carrying out routine health and safety checks and risk assessments to ensure compliance and safety Supervising and liaising with external contractors carrying out site work Keeping school grounds tidy and safe, including basic groundskeeping and clearing outdoor areas Responding to emergencies, such as alarm activations, maintenance issues, or weather-related site concerns Monitoring site security, including managing access points, securing buildings, and checking CCTV (if applicable) Supporting school events, including setting up furniture, signage, and equipment when needed Overseeing waste disposal, recycling, and inventory of maintenance supplies Assisting cleaning staff or stepping in to ensure communal areas meet hygiene standards What We re Looking For: Previous experience in a ..... full job details .....
