Job Title: Buyer
Location: Tamworth
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Working Hours:

- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm

We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Buyer to join our procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with purchasing experience who is confident working in a fast-paced manufacturing or supply chain environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Raise and expedite purchase orders for raw materials, factored goods, and packaging in line with business needs and targets.
- Ensure accurate delivery confirmations in DAX.
- Manage the purchasing mailbox, ensuring timely responses and avoiding duplicate communications.
- Set up and maintain vendor accounts.
- Liaise effectively with suppliers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement and delivery operations.
- Handle XP orders where required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Previous experience in a Buyer or equivalent purchasing role.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable:

- Experience using DAX or similar ERP systems.
