RoleEngineering Manager – B2B SaaS Transaction Reporting Platform

Hybrid working and flexible hours:

4 days in the office and 1 WFH.

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our engineering team in the ongoing development and delivery of our B2B SaaS platform for transaction reporting. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership for delivering innovative, industry-disrupting products designed to transform the way organizations operate within the regulatory landscape.

As a crucial member of our rapidly growing business, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless coordination of engineering efforts, driving high-quality product delivery, and cultivating a collaborative environment that empowers both engineers and stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to our scale-up journey, working alongside talented colleagues in a fast-paced, innovation-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

Line Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers through regular feedback, coaching, and career development support. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Planning and Delivery:

Oversee engineering planning and execution to ensure timely, reliable, and quality delivery of product features and improvements. Manage sprint and project delivery cycles, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks. Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of innovation in RegTech.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with Product Managers to define requirements and translate business needs into actionable technical plans. Partner with Regulatory Specialists to ensure the platform meets relevant compliance and reporting standards.

Hands-On Leadership:

Remain technically engaged with the team by contributing to solution design, code reviews, and technical decision-making. Champion engineering best practices and modern software development methodologies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Serve as a key liaison between engineering, product, regulatory, and commercial teams. Clearly communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Proven experience managing engineering teams, with a strong track record of building, developing, and motivating high-performing groups in dynamic environments.

Hands-on technical background, with the ability to actively participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and code quality assurance.

Practical experience in delivering complex software products, ideally in a SaaS or B2B environment.

Fluency with modern engineering practices: Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and automated testing.

Demonstrated experience collaborating with Product Managers and/or regulatory/compliance teams to deliver technical solutions that meet both business and compliance requirements.

Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a scale-up or fast-paced environment.

Passion for coaching and supporting engineers’ professional growth in a culture of trust and transparency.
