Business Support Administrator
to join our Building Control team in the UK. This role is vital in ensuring our operations meet both statutory obligations and internal business standards. You’ll work closely with the Business Support Manager and technical teams to support project delivery, client communications, and administrative processes.Responsibilities
Set up and manage Building Control projects using Deltek, from initial appointment to final certificationEnsure accurate project details including site inspection office, Local Authority, and fee recipientPrepare and manage documentation such as fee proposals, legal notices, inspection reports, and consultationsGenerate reports to support management and technical teams with performance tracking and remindersLiaise with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors regarding Building Regulation applicationsProvide administrative support across the business unit and wider Bureau Veritas UK networkMaintain ICT systems, databases, and document management platformsLog site inspections and update project records for the surveying teamHandle incoming calls and enquiries professionally and efficientlyAssist with complaint handling and ensure responses are logged per company policyPrioritise and manage incoming emails and post for the business unitSupport internal training events, team briefings, and office management dutiesAttend and assist with internal and external meetingsEnsure compliance with Bureau Veritas procedures, including SOPs and KPIsCollaborate with the commercial team to ensure accurate invoicing and contract managementSupport debt recovery efforts and provide training to new staff on administrative processesUndertake other duties as reasonably requiredQualifications
You should have proven administration experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information securely. Excellent customer service and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. You’ll need to be able to prioritise tasks, manage your workload effectively, and work well both independently and as part of a team.Desirable qualifications include knowledge of Deltek or similar systems, a minimum of GCSEs in Mathematics and English, and experience in the construction sector or a similar administrative role.Why Bureau Veritas UK
