Job Title: Junior Design Engineer
Location: Peterborough
Salary: -25,000 - -30,000 per annum

We are seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join a growing engineering company based in Peterborough. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their design skills and gain hands-on industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks
  
  
• Support senior engineers with design and development projects
  
  
• Create and update Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation
  
  
• Work with production teams to ensure designs are accurate and practical
  
  
• Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement activities
  
  

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (essential)
  
  
• Degree, HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  
  
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
