OverviewInterim Head of Commercial Finance | Media Business — London/Hybrid. Harmonic are working with a fast-growth business in the Media and Entertainment industry, headquartered in Central London. The role is a 6-month contract.

The RoleInterim Head of Commercial Finance

will act as the primary financial business partner to senior leadership across the Commercial and Revenue function. Reporting into the CFO, you’ll oversee financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management. You’ll manage and develop a team of 4, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the commercial team has the insights and analysis needed to make data-led decisions. This is a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office) based in Central London.

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted financial partner to executive stakeholders, providing strategic analysis and insight to influence decision making

Lead the team in delivering accurate and timely budgets, forecasts, and management reporting

Own the financial planning and analysis process for revenue flows and distributions, ensuring alignment with long-term business strategy

Provide financial assurance presenting results and key insights to relevant boards and stakeholders

Deliver analysis of performance trends, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations

Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and controls, in collaboration with wider Finance teams

Manage and develop a team of 4

Represent finance in key commercial negotiations and cross-functional projects

What We Need to See (Essential)

Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting at a senior level

Strong commercial acumen with experience in business partnering senior stakeholders

Track record of managing and developing finance teams

Advanced Excel and reporting tool skills
