Group Finance Assistant / Group Financial Accountant

Reports to:

Group Senior Finance ManagerType:

Full-TimeJob Purpose:To ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for all stakeholders, whilst driving efficiency and best practices across the Group.Scope:Group-wide financial reporting, consolidation, audits, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.These are illustrative duties, and the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the department to respond effectively to the requirements of the Company.Skills and Experience

Preparation of the consolidated long-term profit and cash-flow forecast.Consolidation of the regional monthly submissions, including supplementary schedules.Supporting the annual audit process, ensuring timely responses to audit requests across regional entities.Preparation of the back-half of the Annual Report: consolidated financial statements and entity only.Supporting the annual budget process.Preparation of month end management accounts including posting journals for the individual Group entity.Preparation of WD1, WD5 and WD18 packs for Group entity.Preparation of monthly Group recharges and raising invoices to regions.Preparation of weekly short term cashflow forecasting for Group entity.Consolidation of short term cashflow forecasting.Preparation of Group VAT return.Assisting in the preparation of the quarterly Board Pack.Preparation of the GRP entity monthly payroll data for submission to third-party payroll provider.Treasury management and overview of accounts payable function.Developing strong and effective working relationships across the Group.Ad-hoc duties and providing cover for team as required.Skills / Experience Required:Part Qualified / Qualified AccountantStrong Bookkeeping and technical accounting knowledgeHousebuilding experience preferred but not essential, but keen to learn the industryDriven, hardworking and ambitiousExcellent knowledge of Microsoft ExcelSelf-starter, someone who takes initiative.Hours : 08:30-17:30Apply for this role
