is seeking a confident, experienced

Front of House Supervisor / Head Waiter

to join our small, dedicated team.Were an independent modern European restaurant with a focus on seasonal menus, exceptional service, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Located in the heart of Islington, weve built a strong reputation for quality and consistency since opening in 2015. We''re now looking for someone to play a key role in maintaining high service standards and leading our front of house team during busy services.About the Role:

As FOH Supervisor / Head Waiter, youll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and kitchen team to ensure every service runs smoothly. You''ll lead by example on the floor, support more junior team members, and contribute to the welcoming, professional tone of the restaurant.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the front of house team during service, ensuring a smooth guest experience

Welcome and engage guests, managing bookings and table planning

Support opening and closing procedures

Confidently take orders and run food/drinks, with strong menu and wine knowledge

Communicate effectively between kitchen and FOH

Uphold and enforce high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service

Assist with staff training, stock checks, and daily operations as needed

Support the Restaurant Manager with floor oversight and customer feedback

About You:

Previous experience in a senior waiter or FOH supervisor role

Strong leadership and communication skills

A passion for hospitality and excellent guest service

Good knowledge of food and wine (WSET Level 2 or above is a bonus)

Calm under pressure, well-organised, and detail-oriented

Professional appearance and punctuality

Fluent in English

The Offer:

Pay:

£16 per hour (including service charge)

Hours:

30 hours per week

Schedule: 45 shifts per week, including evenings and weekends
