We are looking for a Shift Engineer to join our Engineering department at Grosvenor House Suites!As a Shift Engineer you will ensure:

To

carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and audio visual plant and equipment throughout the property.To carry out minor repairs to the building fabric, decorative finishes and furnishing and fittings throughout the property.To endeavour to meet and exceed our guests needs and expectations during their stay.Your main duties include

(but are not limited to):Liaise with colleague on preceding shift and check log book for hand over information and action accordingly.

Liaise with duty manager and telephone operator at the beginning of each shift to confirm attendance and test communications.

To be a member of the investigation team in the event of activation of alarms, such as fire.

Carry out daily fire, life and safety checks as detailed in the departments Policies and Procedures manual.

Carry out daily plant and equipment inspections and ensure systems are operating at optimum conditions for comfort and minimum energy usage.

Check function sheets and ensure relevant plant is in operation and set points and time schedules are set to meet demand.

Check Hotsos work order system and action as per the departmental Policies and Procedures manual.

Input all non Hotsos generated work requests reported to you into the Hotsos system and record actions and status.

Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance duties as directed by your supervisor or duty manager.

Promptly advise your supervisor or duty manager of any serious problems or failures together with any relevant information to aid follow up.

Liaise with external contractors when required.

Record in the log book all relevant information, information required for follow up of any outstanding issues or incidents that may have arisen on your shift; carry out hand over procedures with colleague on following shift.This is a full time, 40 hours Contract.
