We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, flexible people who would enjoy supporting adults with disabilities to live the lives they want.We are a Day Service who provide high quality of care and social opportunities to the people that we support, within the day centre and the community.We pride ourselves on having a strong support team who work closely together to ensure that the people we support have the best day, while ensuring people''s needs are met in terms of health and positive outcomes.The role of a Community Support Worker is rewarding and one where you know that every day you have had the opportunity to brighten someone''s day just by being your unique self.As a Community Support Worker, you will value others, have a person-centred approach to supporting people with dignity and respect.Ongoing free training is provided, including gaining qualifications such as the QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.Responsibilities
To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person-centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.To support people with dignity and respect in order to meet their day-to-day needs, including personal care supports.To support individuals to access a range of opportunities and experiences, e.g., swimming, walking, bowling, dancing, shopping, art groups, cooking activities and making new friendships.To work in accordance with relevant national legislation and service-specific policies and practice guidelines at all times.Skills and Qualifications
Experience of working with adults who have a learning disability is desirable but not essential; you will be given necessary support and training to undertake this role.Applicants who do not hold NVQ Level 3 at the time of appointment will be required to complete QCF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (training funded by the Service).Please refer to the job description for more details of required skills and experience.Benefits and Development
