Works closely with business unit leadership and is an integral member of the senior leadership team providing operational expertise, strategic planning and counsel to the leadership team. Leads, adapts and delivers the strategy and business plan for project portfolio working with leadership roles across the business to ensure adherence and consistency of policy, processes and procedures.Provides leadership of the overall delivery of strategy, objectives and all projects in portfolio, in line with overall Mace strategy and priorities. Ownership of the project portfolio planning and budgeting, business operational resource requirements, ensures compliance with Mace Group reporting cycles and establishing KPIs and OKDs (Objectives and Key Deliverables).Accountable for delivery of annual financial and operating targets for the project portfolio (including KPIs, OKDs and business outcomes), leads effective cost management, ensuring budgets are met and utilises data and analysis to drive continuous business improvements.Oversees and promotes effective relationships externally with all clients, suppliers, partners and internally across the engine/business unit and the wider business.Accountable for the overall performance and management of the projects in portfolio covering planning, design, construction, monitoring and commissioning to ensure the project is delivered on time, budget and specification. May manage large, complex projects (size and scale) with country and/or multi-country complexity, scope and impact.Builds and sustains an integrated, collaborative and high performance team/s that proactively anticipates and responds to the requirements of the organisation and key stakeholders. Typically manages large, complex team/s and project resources with country/multi-country scope and remit.Champions innovation and provides thought leadership across the project portfolio advocating new ideas, ways of working and efficiencies. Leads and implements strategies for service delivery championing a culture of good practice and continuous improvement.Collaborates and partners with others across the business and identifies and promotes cross selling opportunities within the wider Mace business, driving and promoting business development, including building and developing productive relationships across the business and with clients.Accountable for ensuring required leadership and capability is implemented to deliver the business ambition with robust resource planning and a talent pipeline matching business demand, to drive the Mace purpose, priorities and 2026 strategy.Member of engine senior leadership team, inputs into and influences project portfolio and strategic agenda in line with overall engine business strategy, direction and objectives.Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.Champions and drives the strategic implementation of enterprise-wide (and engine/business unit) strategic priorities, initiatives and transformational change, providing enterprise-wide leadership.Leads project portfolio by example, setting and working by high standards, leads, guides and provides direction to business unit, ensures a high performing project portfolio and teams that meet and exceed KPIsRepresents Mace and the business unit, manages and influences key C-Suite and senior external relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, supply chain and relevant government/regulatory bodies.Provides executive leadership and direction across the project portfolio and across the business, supporting and mentoring senior leaders including succession planning, onboarding, training and diversity planning.Provides thought leadership, industry expertise and expert counsel across the project portfolio to senior leadership teams including Engine Executive Board.Change Management; ''Commercial ManagementCan influence, develop and create a cohesive leadership team to oversee the operations of the business unitHighly skilled in client engagement, strategic partnering, work winning and driving operational performance.Ability to work to short and long term strategic plans, promoting sustainable and innovative solutions, knowledge capture and best practice in service deliveryComprehensive expertise and knowledge of Project Management and Construction Consultancy.Builds professional relationships and networksChampions the use of new technology, helps/guides others to adaptAdvanced leadership capabilities leads business unit.Provides leadership, direction and guidance to others, leading others effectively, coaches and supports other to reach their full potential.Champions data and analytics to drive better decision makingDrives the strategic implementation of new and innovative technologies to achieve objectivesLeads by example and acts in an ethical, legal and responsible way. Focuses on client satisfaction and delivers service excellence for external and internal clientsDegree/Post Graduate (or equivalent)Demonstratable track record in establishing and delivering Projects to clients across a range of projects/programmes (or equivalent).Highly advanced level of commercial awareness, consulting and strategic acumen.Highly advanced understanding of wider management principles and techniquesCan lead transformation and change agendas for operational business areasStrong track record of advanced leadership capabilities leading large complex projects with regional/global remit and integration of teams (or equivalent).
