Hybrid working available post probation subject to clinics. Salary: Competitive.We’re looking for a Senior Medical Secretary to join our Secretarial team based at Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit at The Wellington Hospital.What You’ll Do
Provide full secretarial support to the Consultant (including audio-typing of clinical/non-clinical material, reports etc.)Responsible for the appropriate management of patient appointments, liaising with patients and hospital staff as required in order to facilitate thisReceive new patient referrals and arrange relevant appointments across various hospital departmentsRegister new patients and ensure that all patient records are kept up to dateRespond to all written and verbal queries from patients and relatives, escalating to the consultants if requiredUndertake any other duties as called upon to carry out by the Medical Secretary Manager, Deputy Medical Secretary Manager or SupervisorLiaise with consultants and other secretaries to ensure the smooth running of the Out-Patients ClinicsWhat You’ll Bring
Substantial previous Medical Secretarial experience is essential.Significant understanding of Medical terminology.Strong attention to detail, accurate typing and letter proofreading skills.Computer literacy.Excellent communication skills.Previous knowledge of DGL Practice Manager and Meditech preferred.Why HCA UK?
