SEMH Teaching Assistant

About the School:

Key Responsibilities: - Build strong, trusting relationships with students to support their emotional and behavioural development - Deliver structured interventions and mentoring sessions, helping students develop coping strategies and self-regulation skills - Encourage positive behaviours and social skills through engaging activities and consistent routines
Requirements:
Must Have:
- Strong behaviour management and experience supporting students or service users with SEMH needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of SEMH conditions and the ability to adapt approaches to individual students
Nice To Have:
- Previous special school, social care, or youth work experience
- Qualifications related to SEMH, youth work, or mentoring

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the possibility of a permanent role at a later date.
