Field Service Engineer Physical Security Systems Location: Sevenoaks Salary: £38,000 £40,000 basic + uncapped overtime + on-call allowance OTE: £50,000 £55,000+ Overview We re hiring a Field Service Engineer to join a leading UK provider of physical security systems (gates, barriers, blockers, turnstiles). This is a hands-on field role suited to engineers with experience working on larger machinery, agricultural equipment, or PLC-controlled systems, alongside strong mechanical capability. Key Responsibilities Install, service and repair security systems (gates, barriers, blockers, turnstiles) Fault-find across mechanical and basic electrical/PLC systems Attend breakdowns and support reactive maintenance Participate in on-call rota (1 in 5 1 in 6) Complete digital job reports and liaise with clients on-site Travel regionally with occasional overnight stays Requirements Strong mechanical engineering background (essential) Experience with larger machinery / plant / agricultural equipment / PLC-controlled systems Basic electrical knowledge (e.g. 3-phase, 24v systems, 18th Edition desirable) Full UK driving licence Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces Based within Chelmsford or surrounding areas Flexible for travel, overtime and weekends Mandatory Security and Clearance (Non-Negotiable) Right to work in the UK (documentation required) 5 years continuous UK residency 5 years continuous employment history ..... full job details .....
